Make your own chocolate
A hands-on experience in Cacao Tribu's kitchen
£37.50
Out of stock
Time: 6.30-8.30pm
Venue: West Park, Leeds
We will start the evening with a cup of warm cacao that you can sweeten and flavour to taste.
Moving on we learn a bit about the history of cacao,, the cacao tree, farming and the challenges involved. We will touch on the fermentation process and how beans are dried.
The beans we will be working with are imported from Ghana and I will share their story.
Then it will be time to move onto the practical work: roasting the beans, hand grinding and removing the shells. We will then pour some chocolate out of the refiner and practise the process of tempering.
We will finish by flavouring and decorating the chocolate.
There will be plenty of cacao and chocolate tasting involved and you get to take your personally flavoured chocolate home..
